A second victim traced after bombings at Madrid`s Airport

The rescue teams that are still searching for survivors in the ruined terminal station 4 at Madrid-Barajas airport after ETA’s bombing attack tracked down another dead body. The body belongs to a man from Ecuador who was missing after the blast in the airport. It is the second victim after ETA’s hit.

The rescue teams found the body inside his car in the ruined parking station of Terminal 4. Rescuers found human parts inside the car that belonged to Diego Armando Estasio.

As Alfonso de Alamo, General Manager of Madrid’s civil protection and head of emergency rescue services stated “the car had been traced in the ruins of the destroyed parking station in terminal 4 of the airport”.

Shortly after ETA’s (the armed Basque separatist group) attack the Ministry of Homeland Security in Spain had announced that police was searching for a second victim who was missing after the explosion of the bomb-trapped car.

Authorities in Spain were investigating the debris in Terminal 4 for the second victim as they had information that this person was in the airport in his car the moment the blast took place.

ETA prepares for another bomb attack

Authorities in Spain are expressing fears for a new attack of ETA as the police detected 100 kilos of explosives in a Basque city southeast of Bilbao. As police reported “In the explosives there was a device which shows that there were plans for immediate use.”

According to El Pais, police tracked down the explosives near a vehicle in a place that ETA had recently abandoned another vehicle filled with 50 kilos of explosives.

This incident came on a quite critical period as the Spanish government was determined to stop the negotiations with ETA as the armed Basque separatist group had “broken” the ceasefire agreement with the Spanish government which had been proposed by the group in the past.
