Delta Air Lines worldwide customers can enjoy more convenient of electronic ticketing (ET) as Delta begins interline ET agreements with British Airways, America West, Aloha, and Midwest Airlines. With more than 93 percent of Delta customers flying with ETs, these new interline agreements are another step toward reaching the goal of 100 percent ET by the end of 2005.

Our customers tell us they love the control and hassle-free flexibility of changing itineraries between Delta and other carriers without the worry of dealing with paper tickets, said Pam Elledge, vice president of Sales & Distribution at Delta. As we continue to transform into more of a customer- focused airline, our ET solutions help us improve the travel experience and add convenience for our customers.

With this addition, Delta now offers interline ET convenience with many leading carriers, including Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, ATA, Hawaiian, United Airlines and US Airways. Delta also has interline ET agreements with SkyTeam partners AeroMexico, Air France, Continental Airlines, KLM and Northwest Airlines.

ETs allow customers to use Delta`s quick, self-service technology such as online check-in at delta.com, Delta Direct, the industry-leading remote phone bank available in lobby and gate areas and kiosks located in 84 Delta cities in the United States. This technology helps customers avoid lines at the airport and move directly to security with photo identification and printed boarding pass in hand. For international travel, a customer must present the ET itinerary or receipt in addition to a passport. Plus, with ET, there`s nothing to lose; there is no paper ticket to misplace, forget or have stolen.

Interline ETs containing Delta flights can be issued by Delta, AeroMexico, Air France, Alaska, American, ATA, Continental, Hawaiian, Northwest, United and US Airways through their individual reservation centers, airports and ticket office locations. This product is available for all flights in ET- eligible markets, including Delta Connection, Delta Shuttle, Song, AmericanConnection, Brit Air, Chicago Express Airlines, Cityjet, Horizon Air, Regional Airlines Northwest Airlink and United Express flights. Delta, AeroMexico, American Eagle, Continental, Northwest or Air France codeshare flights also are ET-eligible.
