Christmas is approaching fast. The moment of lighting the first Advent candle brings the Christmas atmosphere into our homes and symbolically begins the countdown toward Christmas Eve and the unwrapping of presents. However, this year, the presents are not going to be delivered only by Santa Claus or the Baby Jesus, but by CzechTourism as well!

Advent Calendar – this is the name of the quiz which the CzechTourism (www.czechtourim.com) agency has prepared for all those who admire the beauties of the Czech Republic, the nation located in the very heart of Europe. The quiz will take place every day from 1 December to 24 December 2004. If you visit the Web page http://christmas.czechtourism.com, you will find a new question there every day. The questions will be related to the Czech Republic, its regions, towns, customs, or a specific product or service. If you answer a question correctly, you have the chance to win fantastic prizes.

Each day of the competition will have its own winner, who will win a prize provided by the partner for that particular day. And what kind of prizes? Well, for example, a two-day sojourn for two people in a luxurious hotel in Karlovy Vary, the largest Czech spa town (www.karlovyvary.cz), as well as weekend sojourns in luxurious hotels in Jindrichuv Hradec (www.jh.cz), Marianske Lazne (www.marianskelazne.cz), Liberec (www.liberec.cz) and other places. Contestants can also win: accommodation in Prague (www.prague-info.cz) with a sightseeing tour around the city, a one-week sojourn in the Krkonose Mountains, a weekend “adrenaline programme” in West Bohemia, a one-hour sightseeing flight in a hot-air balloon over Konopiste Castle…And in addition to all these prizes, a contestant can also win: a number of tickets to visit interesting historical buildings and monuments in the Czech Republic or to interesting cultural and sport events, such as the International Music Festival in Cesky Krumlov, the opera Adriana Lecouvrer in the National Theatre, or an air-show like the Czech International Airfest in Brno. The contestant with the largest number of correct answers will be awarded with a special prize from the CEO of the general partner of the competition – the hotel concern EuroAgentur Praha.

Don’t hesitate to take part in this interesting competition, one in which you can participate without ever leaving the comfortable setting of your home or office. Just think – only by clicking your mouse, you can receive nice Christmas presents. What makes it even easier is the fact that the correct answers are scattered throughout the Web page of CzechTourism (www.czechtourism.com).

So, why not try to win – then come here and experience the joys of the Czech Republic!
