Some 137 countries will be represented at the assembly, which runs from September 24 until October 1, including EOT`s secretary general, Evgenios Yiannakopoulos and its international relations director, Evi Demiri. Greece will again bid to hold its position as vice chairman of the organization for the environment.
The local organization also intends to present a plan for the support of the direction of tourism throughout the world and will promote Greece as a safe and stable destination as well as its work and plans as the host country for the 2004 Olympic Games.
WTO`s general assembly takes place every two years and attracts 800 to 1,000 of the world`s top tourism officials and decision-makers from the private sector….
