Gulf Air will increase its daily service from Muscat to London from 27 March, 2006. The airline`s direct flights to London Heathrow will be increased to two every day. Thursdays, however, will remain a single flight.

We have seen a steady increase in traffic since we became the first airline to launch a direct service to London in June 2004. This is due to a genuine demand from both business and leisure passengers travelling between Oman and the UK, says Gulf Air General Manager Oman Jaffar Juma.

Oman is currently experiencing robust growth across its business and tourism sectors. The Government of Oman is very keen to develop Oman as a major tourism destination through its multi-level and multi-media campaigns and Gulf Air is backing this drive with its additional flights.

London has traditionally been one of the most sought after tourist destination in addition to being an important commercial hub of Europe. Therefore, we can confidently say that passenger traffic between these two destinations is bound to grow further.
