In response to the continued increase in demand for MICE services in Russia, a day of business sessions has been introduced to the second edition of the MICE Russia Industry Convention, which will take place on 19 September 2005 at the World Trade Centre, Moscow.

The Business Sessions will run alongside the MICE Russia workshop, providing an informative and educational addition to the event. They will be open to corporate buyers and business travel professionals involved in the Russian travel industry. The Business Sessions will address the topic, `How to do MICE business in Russia`, and feature an impressive list of speakers and case studies concerning the business travel industry in Russia.

Speakers at the MICE Business Sessions include Tony Carey, President & CEO of The Carey Consultancy, who will cover the topic, `The Global MICE Industry – Today and Tomorrow`, and Mr Hanif Poona, from Habib`s Tours & Travel Ltd, who will present a case study on `Memorable Incentives – Steps towards professionally planned and successful incentives!`

The MICE workshop itself has proven popular for the second year running and was almost sold out six months prior to the event. Its new, bigger venue, the World Trade Centre, with its specialised conference facilities, has allowed the event to expand. Participation at MICE Russia 2005 has increased by 70% compared to last year`s event.

MICE Russia has attracted a number of key players from the industry, including Accor, Cyprus Conference & Incentives Ltd, CzechTourism, Elba Hotels, Finnish Tourist Board, Fraport AG, Grand Hotel Principe Di Piemonte, Habib`s Tours & Travel Ltd, Kuoni Destination Management, Malta Tourist Authority, MTC Group, Radisson SAS Hotel Berlin + Park Inn Hotel Berlin, Royal Cliff Beach Resort, Switzerland Tourism, VisitBritain, VisitLondon and Wedgewood USA, to name but a few.

Zeljka Tomljenovic, Event Manager, says, We believe that the MICE Business Sessions will complement the workshop and, with the MICE industry being relatively new in Russia, will provide an excellent educational platform from which to discuss the development of the industry in Russia. We are delighted to welcome experienced and highly professional speakers and exhibitors to the event.
