The Malta Tourism Authority`s Frankfurt office recently hosted a number of German professional conference organisers, as well as some members of the German media, during a familiarisation trip to Malta.
The trip focused on selling Malta as a conference and incentive destination. However, the German tour operators also visited the Ursuline Sisters` Creche in Sliema and spent some time helping to paint the courtyard and one of the children`s bedrooms. They also presented a cheque of EUR 800 to the creche. The event was organised by the MTA, in conjunction with German company Easy Event, as well as Travel Services (Malta) and Rezidor SAS. Easy Event is one of the founders of `Geben statt Nehmen` (`Giving instead of taking`) whose mission is to establish a network of incentive agencies, which also offer social incentives.
