The Greek island of Rhodes welcomed a 10.5% increase in visitors during the month of August, compared with the same month last year, with most coming from the UK and Germany, according to Greek Civil Aviation statistics.
Guests to the island by air during August totaled 255,668 compared with 231,276 for the same month last year. And although Greeks made up 39,000 of that total, they were outnumbered by the British with 63,000
The increase in Greek arrivals over last August, however, was almost 25% more than last August, while the increases from the UK and Germany were 22% and 6% respectively….
