Aegina presents mansion for special events

It might be only for an evening out, but what an evening out. Travel agents can now treat VIPs to a private reception second to none in one of Greece`s most unique mansions.
The Groza Mansion, entirely designed and built by Greek artist Vassilis Grozas, affords a novel experience in Greek artistic talent and an up-market, new tourism product for the Athens area.
It`s not just the uniqueness of the venue that counts, says Epsilon Travel, the exclusive representative for the mansion. The trip itself to the nearby island by chartered yacht or ship is an experience in itself.
The 600-square-meter mansion was painstakingly built over a seven year period on 5,000 square meters of prime property that overlooks the Aegean. Besides being a plush venue for special receptions, the mansion exhibits paintings and sculptures created by the owner during the period l965-l992.
Basic elements of the construction include simple cubism forms created from large white stones unique to Aegina<.>. In its entirety, the construction reminds of a temple complex overlooking the sea, and one that was built by the ancient Greeks.
