Shorter stays and booking further out dominate preferences.

WAKEFIELD, MASS. – Consumer interest and demand for luxury villa rentals continues to grow and Villas of Distinction is seeing some unique trends in its Q1 bookings including increases in the Caribbean and Mexico, shorter stays, and shorter booking windows.

“Our travel advisor partners play a crucial role in helping clients navigate the evolving travel landscape,” said Steve Lassman, vice president of agency relations & villa product for Villas of Distinction. “Our insights demonstrate continued growth and popularity of luxury villa stays, offering travel agents a prime opportunity to introduce clients to the privacy, space, and tailored services of villa vacationing.”

For Villas of Distinction, travel is up significantly in the Caribbean and Mexico. Another trend is increased interest in shorter stays, specifically in the U.S. travel market. Luxury villas in destinations like the Caribbean and Mexico lend themselves to shorter-stay villa accommodations as well.

In addition, based on booking trends Villas of Distinction guests are either booking close in travel or further in advance, with reservations well into 2025. “Despite guests’ focus on winter 2025, we’re seeing a notable uptick in spontaneous travel, thanks to enticing deals catering to those seeking summer getaways,” said Lassman.

Villas of Distinction supports advisors by directing its guests to book with a travel advisor, providing enhanced promotions for their clients as well as hosting special “Wine Down Wednesday” and “Lunch and Learn” events. It also continues to increase advisor engagement by providing more educational knowledge about villas, which has helped them to successfully sell this unique product.
