A Philippines native, Lilian Garapan has embraced a career path within the tourism industry driven by her enthusiasm for hospitality. Possessing an optimistic demeanor, she consistently endeavors to exceed expectations in guest service, showcasing her dedicated and bright personality.

KEY WEST – La Concha Key West, the restored Grand Old Dame of Key West, announces Lilian Garapan as Director of Food & Beverage, leading the management and successful operations of all food and beverage outlets, processes and events, including in the new Tropicado crafted cocktail bar, restaurant, Perla, where Cuban cuisine is delightfully reimagined and in El Dom Coffee Shop. “We’re thrilled to welcome Lilian to our team. Her genuine passion and energy along with her vibrant personality, promises to be a perfect fit for our team at La Concha. I’m eager to watch her elevate the dining and beverage journey for our guests,” expressed Tiffany Scott, general manager of La Concha Key West.

Earning a bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Travel Services Management from Bohol Island State University, Garapan has more than eight years of experience in customer service, sales, marketing and retail operations. Possessing excellent communication and organizational insight, she excels in motivating and empowering her team to achieve optimal performance. Her comprehensive understanding of culinary sales and marketing, payroll management, budgeting, guest relations, and hotel and retail operations emphasize her capability to navigate the industry, while maintaining a focus on revenue generation. Garapan most recently served as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at Highgate in Key West. Prior, Garapan held the position of Head of Housekeeping at Marriott Hotels in Key West.

“I am very excited to join the team and add to these great beverage and culinary experiences,” says Director of Food & Beverage, Lilian Garapan. Tropicado evokes the feeling of a tropical escape, offering a classic mojito bar in the heart of Key West. The inventive mashup of “Tropical” and the Spanish suffix “Ado” implying “how we feel”, Tropicado is more than a bar, it is a state of being and a way of life. The expertly crafted cocktails and culinary offerings are inspired by the flavors of Spanish tropical cuisine.

Perla, Spanish for “pearl,” is a culinary experience that reimagines Cuban cuisine through the vibrant lens of Key West and the creation of unique dishes and modern takes on traditional plates. Whether casual breakfasts, leisurely lunches, or nostalgic nights, Perla’s elevated, yet laid-back atmosphere is the perfect place to celebrate both life’s special occasions and the ordinary and everyday treasures of the Keys.

El Dom Coffee Shop invites guests to immerse themselves in the authentic Cuban coffee culture that is steeped in tradition and flavor. The ingredients and cultural heritage create the best array of sweet Cuban pastries, café con leche and savory Ham Croquette sandwiches.

As the shining star of Duval Street, presenting a fun and lively atmosphere, the historic landmark, La Concha Key West is known for its deep and colorful roots within the island’s history. The hotel is situated on Duval Street in the heart of Old Town Key West and is within walking distance of major attractions, shopping, entertainment, and nightlife.
