EVA launches nonstop flights to Istanbul

Service starts with four flights a week, expands Turkish Air co-share.

TAIPEI, TAIWAN – EVA Air launched nonstop service between Taipei and Istanbul, using Boeing 777-300ERs and starting with four flights a week on March 5, 2016. Turkish Trade Office Representative Ismet Erikan and EVA Executive Vice President Glenn Chai, along with close to 300 passengers, were aboard EVA’s maiden flight to Istanbul.

“I am very glad to see EVA become the first airline in Taiwan to offer nonstop flights between Taipei and Istanbul. This service is going to bring more people from Taiwan to Turkey and, at the same time, introduce more people from here to Taiwan. EVA’s flights will further strengthen economic, trade and cultural exchange,” said the Turkish Trade Office Representative Ismet Erikan.

The Boeing 777-300ERs EVA is flying between Taipei and Istanbul fulfill a wide range of market demands. The airline configured its exceptionally comfortable aircraft with three distinct cabins, Royal Laurel business, Elite premium economy and Economy Classes. Royal Laurel seats can be converted into fully lie-flat beds approximately 2 meters long with the push of a button. Elite offers spacious seating, comforts and amenities that satisfy both leisure and business flyers. And Economy Class comes with on-demand seat-back entertainment and ports for charging devices. Passengers in every cabin can look forward to EVA’s trademark warm, friendly service.

From here, it’s easy for passengers to connect onward aboard flights to most of Europe’s major cities. EVA departs from Taipei to Istanbul in the very early morning and arrives in Ataturk International Airport early enough for passengers to conduct a full day of business, sightsee or connect via a Turkish Airlines flight to major cities in Europe and arrive in time for lunch. EVA gets Istanbul passengers into Taipei in the very early morning, giving them comfortable connection times for numerous onward flights to its numerous gateways throughout Asia and Mainland China.
