EVA Air

EVA offers travelers from Houston and the Southwest comfortable options for flights worldwide. With just one easy stop in Taipei, passengers can connect onward to major business and leisure destinations throughout Asia.

HOUSTON – EVA Air is celebrating its resumption of daily flights between George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) in Taiwan by signing a multi-year partnership with the Houston Rockets. EVA’s new role as an “Official Partner of the Houston Rockets” will run through 2026 and feature EVA Air as the Presenting Partner of the team’s annual Filipino Heritage Night in addition to prominently displayed signage throughout the arena, beginning with the team’s 2023 season home opener on October 29.

“On behalf of our entire EVA staff, we are thrilled to be an ‘Official Partner of the Houston  Rockets,’” said EVA Executive Vice President in Charge of the America Head Office Andrew Su. “Collaboration with the Rockets is inspiring for our own team as we work together to make EVA and our services the best they can be. It’s going to be a special pleasure for us to welcome the NBA team’s fans to Asia in Rockets’ style. EVA and the Rockets are a winning combination.”

“We are excited to announce our partnership with EVA Air, an airline that shares the Houston Rockets commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction,” said Rockets President of Business Operations Gretchen Sheirr. “We are extremely grateful for the support from our fans around the world and look forward to them having more opportunities to cheer us on in person with EVA Air resuming daily service in Houston.”

EVA launched nonstop IAH-TPE flights on June 19, 2015 with three flights a week and immediately increased service to four on the first of July. During COVID lockdowns, it pared IAH services back. Now that countries and airports have reopened, EVA has resumed daily Houston flights.

In addition to its Houston flights, EVA also serves Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle in the U.S.A. and Toronto and Vancouver in Canada. EVA is one of only 10 SKYTRAX-rated 5-Star Airlines worldwide. It also won 16 separate SKYTRAX awards, including ninth place among “World’s Top 10 Airlines” and landed top spots for “World’s Best Premium Economy Class,” “Best Premium Economy Class Airlines in Asia” and “World’s Best Premium Economy Inflight Catering.” It earned places in Condé Nast Traveler’s prestigious 2023 Readers Choice Awards for the 10 best airlines in the world and best airlines in the world for food. Travel + Leisure readers also voted it in the Top-10 World’s Best International Airlines for 2023. TripAdvisor recognized it among the “Top 10 Airlines – World” and awarded it top rankings in four more categories in its Travelers’ Choice Awards for Airlines while it also landed in AirlineRatings.com’s “Top 25 Best Airlines in the World for 2023” and won similarly high ratings for safety and COVID compliance in January 2023.
