Minube lists now let travelers plan trips in real-time

Users of the minube iOS app can now create and use lists with incorporated real-time messaging to plan trips or activities with their friends. This new function was added to further help users use lists to plan their trips and activities.

Minube, the social travel platform for planning trips and sharing favorite places, is launching a new feature on its iOS app which allows groups of friends to plan and comment about their upcoming trips in real-time. If, for instance, a group of friends are planning a trip to Rome, they can create a list, add their favorite places to see, eat, and stay, then use an incorporated messaging function to keep each other abreast of new developments like changing plans, meeting times, dinner reservations, or new discoveries.

The feature is simple: users can create a list by saving their favorite places and then invite friends and travel companions to join and communicate with them privately in real-time. This lets the group get the most out of their vacation time by being able to actively plan their trip and communicate with others all in one app. The goal of this new function is to reinforce minube’s standing as a complete tool for finding inspiration, planning trips, and sharing interesting places and experiences.

In 2012, minube users created over 65,000 lists to share with other travelers, plan their trips, or gather their favorite places in one spot. Some examples of lists found on minube include “Spain’s Best Vineyards,” “Honeymoon in Morocco,” “On the Road in Croatia,” “Eating in Rio”, and “Along the Mekong: Vietnam and Cambodia.”

Minube is available through its website or apps for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. In 2012, minube received more than 30 million visits, over 5 million of which were via mobile. Minube’s iPhone app was chosen by Apple as 2011’s “App of the Year” in Spain, and currently reaches users in over 100 countries with versions of the app in English, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese.

Now more visual
The minube iOS app also has new features which help users incorporate their photos from Instagram, Flickr, and 500px, and have all their photos, experiences, and information about their favorite places in one service. Currently, there are over 600,000 registered users on minube who have shared over 900,000 photos and 11,000 videos and recommended over 500,000 places around the world.

According to Raul Jimenez, CEO and founder of Minube: “Everyday, modern travelers are asking for more, and our platform aims to collect all these useful features. It’s not only about tweaking design and usability, but about providing services like our talking lists which unite travel guides, chat, alerts, and much more.”
