Travel agencies of Azerbaijan joined travel promotion project Wonders of Azerbaijan

Seasoned experts from the travel industry of Azerbaijan forge a business alliance to market Azerbaijan as a travel destination to international travelers from the United States.

LOS ANGELES – Travel agencies of Azerbaijan, namely AL Travel, Caspian Breeze, CBT Azerbaijan, Express Tours and Intour Travel have joined the travel promotion project – Wonders of Azerbaijan. The Project was set to promote Azerbaijan as a travel destination to international travelers from the United States.

Wonders of Azerbaijan offers a small-group and customized private tours to Azerbaijan, the largest country in the Caucasus region located at the crossroads of Western Asia and Eastern Europe with majestic mountainous nature, rich history and culture, religious diversity and delicious cuisine. “Travelers can choose from a full range of 3, 4 or 5 star hotels, sightseeing options, airfare classes and airlines; from luxury to budget, all meals included or something for more independent minded travelers” comments Sevil Aliyeva, director of Express Tours, Ltd.

“Wonders of Azerbaijan seeks to establish business relationship with leading U.S. travel agencies and tour operators catering to the needs of discerning international travelers from the United States and we are particularly interested in cooperation with U.S. travel professionals delivering travel services to such destinations in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Central Asia as Russia, Georgia, Turkey, Israel, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan” said Nigar Rasulova, Marketing manager at Wonders of Azerbaijan.

“With this purpose, we are planning to arrange a FAM trip for U.S. travel professionals to visit Azerbaijan in late spring of 2014. We invite U.S. travel experts to inspect our destinations, hotels and restaurants we work with, as well as our own luxury vehicles, our service, and finally our people” comments Mr. Aydin Bagirli, general director of AL Travel, the leading inbound tour operator in Azerbaijan.

“In close cooperation with Wonders of Azerbaijan, the U.S. travel sellers can present Azerbaijan to their customers as a travel & tourism destination in the heart of the Silk Road and as a new destination that can be incorporated into regional travel packages they sell in the United States” said Mr. Baghirli. At present four options suggested by Wonders of Azerbaijan: (1) Azerbaijan on the Silk Route, (2) Alexander Dumas Food & Wine, (3) Cultural Diversity Tour and (4) Community-Based Tourism in Azerbaijan. Community-Based Tourism is fully supported by the U.S. Peace Corp Volunteers.

“CBT Azerbaijan offers comfortable accommodation, home-cooked food, hiking, exploration of historical buildings and monuments, beekeeping, orchard tending and many other activities under the guidance of local host families” said Joel Heyman, CEO of CBT Azerbaijan. He went on to say “Azerbaijan’s community-based model is the only one of its kind in Azerbaijan. The majority of what you spend stays in the community where you spend it. CBT Azerbaijan provides you with the opportunity to experience Azerbaijan’s diverse culture while simultaneously benefiting the communities you visit.”

In 2014, Wonders of Azerbaijan will participate at Travel & Adventure Shows in Chicago, New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles and Dallas. “We want to reveal the travel and tourism potential of a little-known Azerbaijan to the U.S. audience” said Mr. Chingiz Mustafayev, managing partner at Caspian Breeze.
