The numbers are in and officials at the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) couldn’t be happier. In a recent customer service satisfaction survey, the Pinellas County Government agency received high marks from the community it serves in the areas of professionalism, responsiveness, and overall customer satisfaction.
“We feel it’s extremely important to communicate with the community and understand how they feel about our effectiveness,” said Carole Ketterhagen, Executive Director for the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area CVB. “This kind of dialogue is extremely valuable.”
The survey was sent to more than 200 accommodations, museums, attractions, area chambers of commerce, and other businesses throughout Pinellas County who work with the CVB. The survey was designed by the county’s Economic Development Office and conducted online. The margin of error was +/- 3 %. The CVB staff received a 98.6 % score in the area of professionalism and knowledge; a score of 97.2 % in the timeliness of their responses to the community; and a score of 90.8 % in overall satisfaction.
Some of the comments received from the survey included quotes such as, “We think the CVB is a great organization and we are proud to partner with them.” And, “We are very proud to be associated with the best CVB in the country.”
The CVB recently was designated an Accredited Destination Management Organization (ADMO) – Accredited With Distinction by the Institute for Convention & Visitors Bureau Accreditation (ICVBA). It is one of nine accredited organizations in the country that has successfully completed the accreditation process.
