Amusement industry professionals from around the world will hit the links at Mystic Dunes Golf Club in Orlando, Florida on November 15 to raise funds for the Give Kids the World Village, a magical vacation destination for children with life threatening illnesses.

The Give Kids the World Charity Golf Tournament is organized by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA). IAAPA is holding its largest worldwide gathering-the IAAPA Orlando 2004 Annual Convention and Trade Show-at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando from November 15-20, 2004.

Everyone interested in playing should contact IAAPA as soon as possible. We`re almost sold out, said Clark Robinson, IAAPA president. Tickets for the tournament cost $150, and the entire event is scheduled to raise approximately $20,000 for the charity. A car will be given to the first person who hits a `hole in one`.

Mystic Dunes is a new course built amidst scenic, rolling orange groves and native, protected wetlands, and was ranked as one of Orlando`s Top 5 Courses by FloridaGolfGuide.com, and rated four stars by Golf Digest.

The Give Kids the World Charity Golf Tournament is chaired by industry veterans Bill Alter, Ed Carroll, Jr., and John Graff.

IAAPA will also hold a silent auction to benefit Give Kids the World on the IAAPA Orlando 2004 trade show floor. Attendees can bid on a multitude of items— including a 7-day Windstar Cruise for two to Cozumel, Costa Maya, Isla De Utila, West End Roatan, Puerto Cortz, and Belize City— with all proceeds benefiting the Village. A similar silent auction at IAAPA Orlando 2003 raised $30,000.

Give Kids the World is an organization that fulfills the wishes of terminally ill children and their families by providing for each wish family a week of cost-free fun at the Give Kids the World Village-an enchanting destination that features amusement rides, round-the-clock ice cream, costumed characters, and day-trips to theme parks.

IAAPA has worked to raise funds and provide support for Give Kids the World since 1994. Recently, IAAPA members provided materials and equipment to help the Village clean up after Hurricanes Charley and Frances.

We are continually grateful for the support of the worldwide amusement industry, said Pamela Landwirth, president and CEO of Give Kids the World, We look forward to the golf tournament and the silent auction and sent our deepest thanks to everyone who is participating.
