The new association of companies which are active in travel retail and duty free in the Asia Pacific region has held a working meeting in Hong Kong to develop plans for the formation of this first regional association.

The Executive Committee of the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA), as it will be known henceforth, met on 27 September to develop the proposed statutes of the Association, to agree the types of membership which would be offered, and to discuss future strategy and communication plans.

The results of their deliberations will be presented to delegates at TFWA World Exhibition at the Asia Pacific Breakfast on Wednesday October 20th at 8am in the Majestic Hotel`s Salon Croisette. This special forum for retailers and brands in the travel retail market, as well as airport authorities, airlines, cruise ships, and other travel related and regional duty free associations will focus on travel retail in this burgeoning market.

The Asia Pacific Breakfast will be held in the Salon Croisette at the Hotel Majestic* in Cannes on Wednesday 20th October from 08.00 until 09.00. A continental breakfast will be served.
