The American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) and its Caribbean partners will present A Caribbean Celebration Dinner Dance at its 73rd World Travel Congress and ASTA`s Cruisefest East. The event will take place Saturday October 25, 2003, at the Hyatt Regency Miami from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The Caribbean Dinner Dance brings a unique opportunity for delegates of ASTA`s Congress to get a taste and flavor of the Caribbean, said World Travel Congress Chair Mary Peters, CTC. With several Caribbean destinations listed at the top of ASTA`s most recent Hot Spots survey, I can`t think of a better time to celebrate the culture of the Caribbean.

Miami is an important gateway to the Caribbean. This event will allow Caribbean destinations, hoteliers and cruise lines to give travel agents a taste of the region`s hospitality and culture, said Hugh Riley, director of marketing for the Americas, the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO).

ASTA Congress delegates will have the opportunity to meet representatives from the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), the Caribbean Hotel Association (CHA), Caribbean government dignitaries, hoteliers from the Caribbean and Caribbean cruise line executives. The evening will feature a Caribbean band and a wide selection of Caribbean-inspired foods and drinks.
