Congrex Holland arranges children’s health conference in Kenya

The 10th International Congress of Tropical Paediatrics, which is Congrex’s first in Kenya, is projected to attract 3,000 delegates from many parts of the world.

Congrex
is delighted to announce its agreement with the International Society of Tropical Paediatrics for the organisation of the 10th International Congress of Tropical Paediatrics (ICTP) in Nairobi in August 2014. The event, which is Congrex’s first in Kenya, is projected to attract 3,000 delegates from many parts of the world.

The International Society of Tropical Paediatrics (ISTP) strives to improve the health of children throughout the tropics. The society is researching ways to attain a better future for children and provides families with health information as well as prevention and treatment of well-known diseases in tropical areas in the world. By building networks, connections and strong relationships, the society is on its way to rid the world of polio. The ISTP has global partnerships with the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the International Paediatric Association (IPA) and national governments.

“I am happy to be working with Congrex for the planning and execution of the International Congress on Tropical Paediatrics 2014”, says Professor F. Were, president of ICTP 2014. “I am sure that working with an international professional conference organiser with the experience and reputation of Congrex will be of great support to our event as we proudly look forward to the ICTP committee’s first visit to Kenya.”

Jarno de Boer, Managing Director of Congrex Holland, comments: “At Congrex we are happy to be supporting this important congress, which has such direct effect on the health of millions of children. We are also looking forward to organising an event in Kenya for the first time.”
