The Society of Incentive & Travel Executives (SITE) hosted its third successful ESNEP (European SITE Networking & Educational Program), 3 – 6 April in Zagreb, Croatia. More than 170 SITE members from 23 countries attended this annual event designed to provide European members the opportunity to expand their network of business contacts through a series of networking and educational sessions.

This event marked the first time the North American-based society recognized Zagreb as an incentive destination and was sponsored by three members of SITE`s Board of Directors:

  • President: Roger Tondeur, C.E.O., MCI Group Holding S.A., Geneva, Switzerland

  • Vice President Member Relations: Lex Granaada, Managing Partner, Granaada & Partner, We Add Value To Your Incentive, Nieuw Vennep, The Netherlands

  • Vice President Industry Relations: Hugo Slimbrouck, General Manager, CIB Performance, Brussels, BelgiumSITE members represent all disciplines that comprise the incentive and travel industry and that allows us to develop a program that examines a destination unlike any other organization, Tondeur said.

ESNEP is unique because attendance is intentionally limited to no more than 200 SITE members, added Brenda Anderson, SITE CEO. This approach allows for high quality networking in an intimate setting.

Other sponsoring organizations include: Hotel Westin – Zagreb, Sheraton Hotel – Zagreb, Generalturist Ltd., Croatia Airlines The Regent Esplanade Zagreb, Croatian National Tourist Board, MAM-vin Ltd., MAM-vin Ltd., Event, Mystik Tours, Zagrebacka pivovara, Siemens Mobile, Kristal Samobor Ltd., Zagreb Tourist Board & Convention Bureau and Momentum Croatia Ltd.

For a nominal registration fee, SITE`s participating European members were treated to economy class air transportation by Croatian Airlines from many European cities, complimentary hotel accommodations, and interactive incentive-caliber programs, including tours of the host city, that drew high marks from attendees.

In addition, the educational program featured a keynote presentation from Christopher Barrat of Greystone Consulting, who presented Professional Buyers – Love Them or Hate Them? This session was designed to help buyers and suppliers to learn more about one another`s needs and develop ways to work better together. Other educational sessions provided attendees with updates about specific European markets.
