Days Out first to offer pay with Klarna on attraction tickets

Days Out plans to add further innovation and technology around ticketing in terms of delivery, payments and loyalty over the coming 12 months and anticipates having 200+ bookable experiences live by September 2023.

Launched in 2022, attraction ticketing site Days Out is the first in the sector to add pay with Klarna in the UK. With a broad spectrum of customers across the family market, inbound tourism and younger couples and friendship groups, the option to pay later and have added flexibility around payment options is a big appeal to all markets.

For families this also adds welcome options in spreading the cost of school holiday experiences like theme park trips.

MD Catherine Warrilow said: “Our proposition has been customer first since its inception and is primarily built around the speed and ease of use in our UX. At the centre of that is our book happy pledge – a big part of that is freedom to pay your way. Klarna is the perfect partner to deliver this.”

The site currently lists a mix of household favourites, yet also has a focus on lesser known immersive, trending and IP driven days out. A great deal of incoming demand from partners is from challenger brands such as virtual reality, gaming and F&B orientated experiences. On the more traditional side, key tourist attractions, especially with cultural or historical appeal are top performers for the brand.

Days Out uses Adyen for banking and has worked closely with their team to deliver Klarna as a function to site users.
