A new US president and perhaps even a new dawn for travel to America. Tony Daly, Managing Director of Ranch Rider, a specialist selling ranch holidays to North America, believes Obama will encourage more people to travel to the US. Daly comments: “A president who has won not just an election, but also hearts and minds will certainly add a feel good element to the destination, and we’re hoping, generate a greater enthusiasm amongst travelers to see America. We’re calling it the Obama Factor.”
The news is timely for Ranch Rider, with the UK tour operator about to launch four ranch stays including the Wildcatter Resort & Spa – a luxury property offering skeet shooting “on steroids”, archery, prairie golf, and ATV rides alongside riding. 7-nights with Ranch Rider from £1,861pp (no single supplement). Departures year-round. Excludes spa treatments, ATV excursions and transfers as car hire recommended.
The recession has so far left America relatively unscathed, as the latest figures from the US Department of Commerce show increases in sales across the board. The travel trade are not simply donning rose colored spectacles, as recent feedback has estimated that bookings are up between 4% and 9% in the second quarter compared to 2007; with further growth expected in the third and fourth quarters.
The above price includes return flight (including all known taxes and fuel surcharges), all full board accommodation, gratuities, all ranch based riding (up to two hours per day) and selected activities. Ranch Rider offers flights from the following departure airports, Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Additional departure airports including Aberdeen, Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds/Bradford, Humberside, Teeside, Newcastle and Norwich are available at a £50- £60pp supplement.
