CEB increasing flight frequency to Beijing

The Philippines’ national flag carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) is increasing flight frequency between Manila and Beijing in January 2012 as its international network extends with more four brand-new Airbus A320s joining its young fleet.

Delivery of the new aircraft enables CEB to increase the Manila-Beijing flight schedule from three to four flights a week.

The carrier is also increasing frequencies between Manila and Brunei (from 3 to 4 weekly flights), Singapore (from 32 to 35 weekly flights) and Ho Chi Minh (daily). Additional seating is also aboard Manila-Bangkok (10 weekly flights) and four weekly flights connecting Manila-Kuala Lumpur.

“We are the only low-cost carrier operating direct flights from the Philippines to Beijing,“ said Candice Iyog, CEB VP for marketing and distribution.

“Our trademark low fares have allowed many tourists from Beijing to travel to the Philippines and vice versa, boosting tourism and trade between our countries.”

CEB also offers the most flights between the Philippines and Singapore, with direct flights from Manila, Cebu and Clark. “We recognize Singapore as a high-traffic route for leisure and business, so we are adding more flights to meet the demand,” added Ms. Iyog.
