Dubai World Central (DWC), the 140 square kilometre city taking shape at Jebel Ali in Dubai, is setting a global benchmark in urban planning and development, said HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman, Dubai Aviation Corporation-Dubai World Central.
Sheikh Ahmed’s statement came during his visit to the DWC stand at Arabian Travel Market 2007.
“Home to Dubai World Central International Airport (JXB), set to be the world’s largest international airport, Dubai Logistics City (DLC), DWC Residential City, DWC Commercial City, DWC Aviation City and DWC Golf City, Dubai World Central will be a catalyst in Dubai’s continued tourism, economic and business growth,” commented Sheikh Ahmed.
“Our participation in ATM which is aimed at local, regional and global investors is perfectly positioned to highlight the project’s recent developments geared to boost tourism and business, marking Dubai not only as a tourist attraction, but also as a regional business hub.”
Launched at ATM 2006, DWC is participating in the show for the second year running. The 244 square metres DWC stand highlights the show’s importance for Dubai and the massive project underway in Jebel Ali, and as a business and tourist attraction for the region.
“DWC’s presence at ATM reflects the project’s marketing plan to be aligned with the top international trade shows as it attracts trade visitors and customers worldwide,” explained Abdulla Al Falasi, Marketing & Corporate Communications Director, DWC. “The unique geographical location of the project vis-a-vis its multi-modal approach provides DWC the advantage to draw tourism-related activities to invest in long-term opportunities.”
