EVA Hello Kitty global jet takes off

EVA Air introduced its Hello Kitty Global Jet, the third aircraft in its second-generation series of the character-themed aircraft, on the Taipei – Tokyo route on 26 Dec., 2011. The aircraft is also deployed on Taipei -Hong Kong service. The Global Jet is a heartwarming depiction of Hello Kitty Around the World that represents EVA’s role in bringing destinations closer together. It’s decorated with colorful images of Hello Kitty, her family and friends with some of the world’s best-known landmarks. Smiling down from her lofty perch, Hello Kitty extends an open invitation to join in her world travels.

The other two aircraft in this series are the Magic Jet, launched in October, and the Apple Jet, placed in service in early December.

Daily, EVA Hello Kitty Global Jet flight BR 2198 departs Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport at 08:50 (8:50 am) and arrives at Tokyo Narita at 12:55 (12:55 pm).  Return flight BR 2197 leaves Tokyo at 14:00 (2:00 pm) and gets back to Taipei at 17:00 (5:00 pm). Then, in the early evening, the Hello Kitty Global Jet takes off again as EVA BR 857, leaving Taipei at 18:10 (6:10 pm) and landing in Hong Kong at 19:55 (7:55 pm). BR 858 returns from Hong Kong at 21:05 (9:05 pm) and gets back to Taipei at 22:40 (10:40 pm). The EVA Hello Kitty Apple Jet is flying Taipei-Fukuoka on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday and Taipei – Seoul daily. The EVA Hello Kitty Magic Jet, the first in the second-generation series, is in use on EVA’s daily Taipei – Sapporo (Hokkaido, Northern Japan) service.

All three of EVA’s new Hello Kitty Jets are Airbus 330-300s, the first of this model aircraft in the airline’s fleet. EVA serves passenger destinations worldwide with gateways on four continents and one of the airline industry’s most far-reaching networks in China and throughout Asia.
