Zoom Airlines yesterday announced details of its new low-cost full scheduled service linking Bermuda with Fort Lauderdale in the sunshine state of Florida.
The low fares, full service airline is operating a twice-weekly direct flight from Bermuda to Fort Lauderdale departing on Thursdays and Sundays.
Zoom is the only airline to offer non-stop service to Fort Lauderdale which will deliver a welcome benefit for Bermudians who can take advantage of the flexible low-cost fares to enjoy a short stay or full holiday break, to one of the most popular US summer holiday destinations.
Jonathan Hinkles, Managing Director of Zoom Airlines said: “Bermudians will now be able to take advantage of our low-cost direct flights to enjoy a short stay or extended holiday in sunny Fort Lauderdale. What’s appealing is that all our flights are high standard at low-cost and offer a full scheduled service onboard.

Zoom Airlines became the first to compete with British Airways last year on the London to Bermuda route since 1967 and broke the longest-running monopoly on any air route in the world. Since the inauguration of this service, Zoom has helped to boost tourism to both the island of Bermuda and to the UK.
