Millennials are ready to go anywhere, anytime. 75 percent have a valid passport from US and/or another country vs. 49 percent of Gen Xers and 40 percent of boomers.
Hipmunk put out results of a large survey they conducted of millennials compared to their Gen X and boomer counterparts about travel behaviors – while most of the results are the typical you’d expect by now – there were many results I thought were interesting insights.
Some takeaways:
- Millennials are ready to go anywhere, anytime. 75 percent have a valid passport from US and/or another country vs. 49 percent of Gen Xers and 40 percent of boomers.
- They are ready for a big adventure. 65 percent of millennials claim they are checking something off their travel bucket list this year, compared to just 35 percent and 21 percent of Gen Xers and boomers, respectively.
- One in ten millennials say Wi-Fi trouble is their worst travel nightmare, topping extreme turbulence, lost luggage or even an emergency landing.
