Ekin Promotion & Exhibition, that successfully organize the EMITT<.> Exhibition since many years, will host the top managers of European Tourism Fairs Organizers who are members of ETTFA<.> – European Tourism and Trade Fairs Association in range of ETTFA's annual meeting at the first week of June 2002. Thus EMITT Exhibition will host 20 top representatives of European biggest tourism fairs, like WTM- London, BIT – Milan, FITUR- Madrid, EIBTM – Geneva, MITT – Moscow, in Istanbul.



The decision for ETTFA June meeting to be hosted by Ekin Promotion &Exhibition in Istanbul was given last week at ETTFA's meeting in London.



The annual meeting of ETTFA that covers all the members at the previous years, was hosted by MATKA – Helsinki Exhibition and BIT Milan Exhibition. The General Manager of Ekin Promotion and Exhibition Ms. Hacer Aydin participated to the ETTFA's meeting in London representing EMITT Exhibition which is the only member to ETTFA from Turkey. Ms. Hacer Aydin said that hosting the annual meeting of ETTFA is an important development both for EMITT Exhibition and tourism sector.



"We are happy to show our hospitality on June in Istanbul to the top level representatives of 20 biggest Tourism Fairs of Europe such as WTM- London, BIT – Milan, FITUR- Madrid, EIBTM – Geneva, MITT – Moscow", Ms Aydin mentioned.



During the meeting will be organized a convention on the topic of "Today and Future of Tourism Fairs", to which the representatives of biggest Tourism Fairs of Europe and representatives of WTO and WTTC will participate as speakers and the meeting will be open for outsiders also.

The co-operation that started during MEDITTANTALYA 2001 exhibition, between EKIN and ASYA TOUR, is continuing with EMITT 2002. ASYA TOUR will be organizing whole transfer for the tourism professionals from the different centers of Istanbul to TUYAP during first two days open for the trade visitors. ASYA TOUR also will be operating the hosted buyers program, they will meet them at the airport and take them to their hotels, the shuttle services between the official Hotels of EMITT and the exhibition center. ASYA Tour will also provide the shuttle services for the public visitors between the different centers of Istanbul to the exhibition center every hour.



The number of exhibitors to EMITT 2002 passes over 400



The number of Exhibitors to the biggest tourism and travel exhibition of Turkey and East Mediterranean region EMITT 2002 passes over 400. Since the beginning of February the number of exhibitors from Greece, Bulgaria, South Africa, Egypt, Ukraine, India, China, Israel, Malaysia, Jordan, Austria, Spain, UK, North Cyprus and 60 tourism centers of Turkey passes over 400. The tour operators which give direction to Turkish tourism market, big hotel chains, rent a car companies, airway companies, tourism technology companies, governorships, municipalities, tourism promotion offices and chamber of commerce will appear in front of tourism professionals and public visitors with their colorful stands. The number of Tour Operators and Buyers invited form abroad is over 100. Until the end of February it is expected that the number of exhibitors will pass over 500 and the number of exhibiting countries will be over 30.
