New Visit Argentina connect concludes with over 100 hosted buyers

Business rounds during FIT, organized by INPROTUR and CAT, ended with more than 4,300 meetings.

More than 400 tourism companies participated in the Business Rounds Visit Argentina Connect during the International Tourism Fair, between international buyers and sellers from Argentina. The meetings were organized by the National Institute of Tourism Promotion and the Argentine Chamber of Tourism.

Each of the 108 hosted buyers had at least 32 pre-scheduled appointments, and when combined with informal meetings during free time, there were a total of 4,396 appointments over the two days dedicated to tourism professionals. 302 sellers from Argentina participated in this edition.

Ricardo Sosa, Executive Secretary of INPROTUR, stated: ‘We make progress every year with the organization of Visit Argentina Connect, which brings together the marketing chain in a unique event during FIT. The participation of more than 100 Hosted Buyers from 11 different markets marks a milestone in Business Rounds. In addition, the guests were able to enjoy a full day on Rest Island in Tigre, where they delighted in nature, a typical Argentine barbecue, and tango and folklore shows.’

In this latest edition that has just concluded, the Business Rounds had an exclusive space for the second consecutive year. Hosted Buyers were invited by INPROTUR using various tools, including Visit Argentina intelligence boards, which provide real-time sales information from all the main sellers in each country worldwide and which destinations they project their sales to. In addition, using INPROTUR’s Big Data tools, potential buyers from various destinations around the world were identified and invited to Visit Argentina Connect to initiate and/or strengthen their commercial intentions with our destinations.

The invited Hosted Buyers came from various markets such as Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Panama, and Costa Rica.”
