Langham Hotel, located in Hong Kong’s commercial and entertainment district, has added a 3D Interactive Meeting Planner to its Web site.
The new feature allows meeting planners the online convenience of previewing the hotel’s meeting spaces and to “play” with the configuration of rooms that will best suit the format of their meeting, all at the click of a button. In addition, by gliding the mouse over function tabs on Langham’s Web site, planners can easily identify the physical location of power outlets, telephone and broadband lines.
“We are at the forefront of this cutting-edge technology and delighted to offer it to our guests and potential clients,” said Nigel Roberts, managing director. “While other hotels offer floor plans and measurements of their meeting spaces, the three-dimensional feature on our Web site puts users inside the space, allowing them to point, click and instantly change the seating arrangement of a room. If for some reason they don’t like what they see, they can click again and find a new configuration. It definitely streamlines the process of planning a meeting and gives them a much clearer view of what the actual meeting space will look like, so that they can plan accordingly.”
In addition to 3D Interactive Meeting Planner, Langham’s Web Site offers a “Request for Proposal” function, through which planners and/or potential clients can receive a detailed proposal addressing their needs, from technical audio-visual requirements to food and beverage needs.
