AKA announces its first Miami hotel offering: Hotel AKA Brickell

The Iconic Hotel is open and will undergo Gradual Design refinements infused with key elements of the AKA Brand.

MIAMI, FL – AKA announces its first-ever Miami hotel, Hotel AKA Brickell, located at 1395 Brickell Avenue. Formerly the Conrad Miami Hotel, the 36-story hotel with 201 rooms and suites with panoramic Biscayne Bay and city views, will undergo gradual design enhancements, all while open for business, from now until Spring 2022. During this time, key elements of AKA’s brand will be infused into the hotel that will evolve the property into a unique offering that is ideal for both daily and weekly stays.

We’ve always envisioned AKA in Miami, a city that is globally appealing, vibrant and filled with opportunity,” said Larry Korman, President of AKA. “Finding the perfect property is always a journey, and we knew we discovered a gem in this architecturally significant and well-located high-rise offering. The breadth of design, culture and energy adds great synergy with the DNA of AKA, and we are beyond thrilled to introduce the AKA brand to Brickell Miami.”

AKA, which has pioneered the luxury long stay industry, will introduce its core residential philosophies to Hotel AKA Brickell. This includes AKA’s tranquil and elevated design that strikes the perfect balance between the privacy and contentment of a residence and the hospitality, service, and style of an intimate hotel, so it has touches of residential living.

Additionally, the brand plans to introduce new F+B concepts, a robust wellness program and more, including updates to amenity spaces throughout the next six months. Current amenities include 24-hour concierge services, a luxurious spa, an outdoor pool with cabanas and sky bar, Technogym fitness center, extensive event space, including a ballroom space and business center for remote working with private meeting rooms as well as a restaurant. The hotel was originally designed by architecture firm, Kohn Pederson Fox.

Korman added, “This expansion comes at an opportune time as Miami is experiencing an influx of individuals relocating and travelers alike who are looking for an evolved hotel experience that feels more livable than your traditional hotel accommodation.”

What’s more, the hotel is located in one of Miami’s fastest growing neighborhoods and according to Forbes, “Brickell feels more like New York City (NYC) than Miami, with a similar ambition, fast-paced lifestyle and walkability. Everything you need to live, work, shop and relax can be found within a highly concentrated urban core,” making it a perfect destination for AKA to make its Miami debut considering the similarities to the markets AKA is established in (NYC, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and London).  Between the commerce, museums, entertainment, experiences, new developments rising and other cultural offerings, Brickell immediately felt like home to AKA.
