Barcelo Hotels selects Translations.com to localize website into seven languages

Barcelo is implementing Translations.com’s enterprise-wide translation management system GlobalLink to create and maintain barcelo.com in seven languages, including Spanish, English, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, and Russian.

NEW YORK – Translations.com announced a new relationship with Spain-based tourism company Barcelo Group, a leading hospitality group operating more than 140 hotels in 16 countries and 365 travel agencies in 22 countries.

Barcelo is implementing Translations.com’s enterprise-wide translation management system GlobalLink to create and maintain barcelo.com in seven languages, including Spanish, English, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, and Russian. With a direct integration of GlobalLink into Barcelo’s existing content management system, Barcelo is able to make updates in each language, ensuring that their customers are seeing the latest information specific to their destination or market.

“Our guests come from all across Europe, America, and throughout the world,” said Miquel Moya, Director of Global Distribution for Barcelo. “They are interested in diverse options in a number of geographic locations. Our website is the first and most direct point of contact with most of them, and we feel that Translations.com and GlobalLink content workflow tools help us make the best impression on our customers in any language.”

“Barcelo is an internationally known and well respected hospitality brand, and they place a strong emphasis on making content accessible to all customers,” said Phil Shawe, Co-CEO of Translations.com. “We’re very excited that they have chosen Translations.com and GlobalLink content workflow solutions to better reach their customers in markets abroad.”
