Best Western debuts in Saudi capital

Best Western International  has officially launched its first hotel in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Located on King Abdul-Aziz Road in downtown Riyadh, within easy reach of King Fahd and King Abdullah Streets, the BEST WESTERN Orchid Hotel is located close to all major companies and government departments.

The 10-storey hotel features 86 air-conditioned rooms and suites, all with a range of modern facilities including microwaves, refrigerators, work desks with conveniently-placed power outlets, tea and coffee-making facilities, televisions with cable channels and free in-room high-speed internet access.

Hotel facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, fitness center and laundry services. The property also offers a range of excellent facilities for corporate guests, including a 24-hour business center, computer rental, printing and copying services, a range of meeting rooms and, of course, complimentary hotel-wide internet access.

“We are delighted to announce the opening of the BEST WESTERN Orchid Hotel – our debut in yet another major capital city in Suadi Arabia,
” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western International’s Vice President International Operations – Asia & the Middle East.

“Best Western International foresees a bright future for Saudi Arabia. With a fast-growing economy driving the business travel sector and pilgrimage traffic that is going from strength-to-strength, demand for hotel accommodation in the Kingdom will grow exponentially in the next decade. And with more than 1,500 comfortable, convenient hotel rooms expected coming on line by 2015, Best Western International will be at the forefront of this exciting country’s travel and tourism boom,” Mr. de Souza added.

Best Western International entered Saudi Arabia earlier this year with the launch of the BEST WESTERN PLUS Sand Rose Suites in the Gulf city of Al Khobar. Following the launch of its second property BEST WESTERN Orchid Hotel, the company’s nationwide expansion will really gather pace. In the next two years, Best Western International expects to open nine new hotels in seven cities across the Kingdom, adding 1,589 rooms to the country’s inventory.
