Boro Hotel, the first design-centric boutique property, is opening in Long Island City, Queens. The hotel is soft opening this summer and was recently featured in Design Hunting’s Space of the Week and on Vogue.

Designed by Grzywinski + Pons, Boro will offer a rooftop with a bar and 360 degree city views, open lobby setting with cafe bar, loft-like event space, and a spanning ground-floor terrace (with a ground-floor restaurant/cocktail bar coming this fall).

The 108 guestrooms feature industrial-chic / minimalist design with floor-to-ceiling windows – and while many offer spacious balconies and terraces, all offer panoramic views of Manhattan and Queens.

Located in Dutch Kills, an emerging art/foodie neighborhood in LIC, the hotel is situated near the area’s top cultural attractions (MoMA’s PS1, The Noguchi Museum), dining venues (Mu Ramen, M. Wells, and Smorgasburg Queens is coming!), and many subway lines (N, Q, R, E, M, and R) – providing travelers with a cool, convenient and affordable alternative to the Manhattan and Brooklyn hotel scene.
