Brand overhaul for Tots To Travel

Focus on luxury experiences for travel with the under-5s.

The specialist family friendly villa company Tots to Travel has unveiled a new brand identity which has been rolled across all its on and offline assets, including a totally new website and booking portal. The new brand identity is the culmination of eight years of expertise and understanding of the holiday needs of families with under-5s. Tots to Travel has taken the family villa holiday to the next level, and the new brand highlights just how exceptional the Tots to Travel dedication to its niche market is.  

The rebrand is the result of listening to what mums want when making a booking, both from the point of view of the holiday itself, but also the processes and lengths mums go to in researching and securing their holiday. For example, as most mums browse for holidays after their children are asleep in bed, Tots to Travel now has experts online or on the phone late into the evening, ensuring that queries are all responded to almost instantaneously.

More focus has been put on the company’s property portfolio, which has been refined to a core selection of the best properties. These are all handpicked and put through rigorous due diligence to adhere to the highest safety standards – for example, parents to not need to worry about barriers around pools or unsafe stairs as these are all checked by the Tots To Travel team. The properties are also all guaranteed to have ‘The Essential Kit’ – everything parents need to look after their young children on holiday (which is often above and beyond the kit parents have at home).

Research undertaken by Tots to Travel has shown that when booking holidays, parents want as much detail and information as possible. This means more photos, more descriptions, more information on environs, and different and more exciting ways to search are needed from travel companies. The team has responded to all of this, and now the company is uniquely placed in the family travel industry to provide the best booking experience and service available.

This means that mothers can now indulge in researching their holidays, simply by choosing the villa, and now the holiday experience, which suits their lifestyle, rather than worrying about whether or not it is suitable for the family. This indulgence and luxury was key to the look and feel of the new site, logo and strapline – “Crafting Perfect Family Holidays.”

The new website and tag line were designed by Brighton based studio Designate (who also designed Kuoni’s new website). Tots to Travel invested a significant sum in the brand development and site, showcasing the importance of the right shop front for a business catering to the top tier.  

Since launching in early March, the site has boosted its performance, and bookings are up 40%-60% on the same period last year. Critically, feedback from both users and villa owners has been emphatically positive.
