ROCKVILLE, MD. – Choice Hotels International, Inc. announced it has signed an agreement with Concord Hospitality and the Robert Finvarb Companies to develop a new Cambria hotel & suites in Durham, NC. The 146-room Cambria property will be located at 2306 Elba Street, and is expected to launch in fourth quarter 2016.
“Durham has escalated the revitalization of its downtown area in recent years, and we’re excited to bring the fresh and upscale hotel offerings of Cambria hotels & suites to a city that is quickly growing with business and leisure travelers,” said Michael Murphy, senior vice president, Upscale Brands, Choice Hotels International.
The Cambria Durham will be within walking distance to Duke University Hospital, one of the city’s biggest employers. Additionally, it will offer guests excellent access to downtown Durham, the historic and geographic soul of the vibrant and artistic southern city that serves as home to several landmarks on the National Register of Historic Places. In addition, the city boasts a flourishing food and arts scene, hosting dozens of events throughout the year.

Designed as a business travel and leisure brand, all Cambria hotels & suites properties feature a larger lobby to give guests a more social atmosphere; oversized rooms with flexible spaces; and the latest technology that allows guests to stay connected while they travel.

As with all Cambria hotels & suites, the Durham property will feature other fine amenities such as a contemporary bistro, Social Circle, serving a menu comprised of local specialties created by Chef Michael DeMaria; liquor, wine, beer and freshly prepared grab-and-go gourmet salads and sandwiches; and a barista bar. This property will also boast 600 square feet of meeting space and a fitness center.
