Cendant Travel Distribution Services, a division of Cendant Corp., and Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts announced the completion of a global agreement providing Golden Tulip with access to Cendant`s full spectrum of distribution products and services.



Already a full participant in Inside Shopper, Galileo`s Next Generation Seamless (NGS) capability, Golden Tulip recognized the unique value that could be brought to their distribution strategy through the unrivalled distribution capabilities of Cendant TDS. This strategic relationship ensures that Cendant`s various travel distribution channels will have access to specially negotiated rates for Golden Tulip`s inventory of more than 43,000 hotel rooms. These Cendant channels include Galileo`s 44,000 agency customers, CheapTickets.com, a leading retail travel site, Neat Group, a provider of dynamic packaging technology, and Lodging.com, one of the top hotel Web sites in the US. These special rates will also become available later this year through HotelClub.com and RatesToGo.com, two accommodation-only consumer Web sites acquired by Cendant in 2004.



Through this innovative agreement, Golden Tulip will broaden its distribution reach to include the millions of customers accessing TDS` global channels, thereby realizing increased sales opportunities for participating hotels and significant savings on distribution costs. In turn, Cendant TDS will be able to provide its customers with greater access to rooms at Golden Tulip and alliance partner TOP International`s 390 properties worldwide, which include both three, four and five-star properties under the brands Golden Tulip Hotels, Tulip Inns and TOP, respectively.



The Cendant distribution model is designed to give us a strategic advantage. The combination of Cendant`s strong online presence and its global network of Galileo agencies provides an ideal distribution platform to increase sales at our hotels, said Hans Kennedie, president and CEO of Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts. The flexibility of the program allows our hotels to retain control over the distribution, pricing and yield management of our rates, improving their ability to drive profits and manage inventory, all at considerable cost savings through one managed relationship. It`s a win-win scenario; we reduce costs and increase profitability, all while gaining greater exposure through Cendant`s distribution channels.
