Addition of New Frequent Flyer Program Underscores Brand’s Global Growth

Fairmont Inks mileage agreement with Qatar Airways

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts announced a new marketing alliance with Qatar Airways, one of the world’s fastest growing airlines. As part of the new partnership, Fairmont guests on qualifying stays will now have the opportunity to earn 500 Qmiles or more in Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club program. Qualifying stays are subject to hotel availability at published rack, corporate or package rates. Members of the luxury hotel chain’s guest recognition program, Fairmont President’s Club, will also have the option of earning additional frequent flyer Qmiles.

Fairmont President’s Club provides frequent guests with special benefits and privileges designed to reflect individual travel preferences and offer an enhanced level of service. Personalized travel profiles afford members customized stay experiences while in-hotel benefits include complimentary high-speed and wireless internet, Fairmont Fit runout, and access to exclusive vacation offerings.

Voted Airline of the Year in 2011 by the prestigious Skytrax industry audit, Qatar Airways’ dedication to service excellence along with its recent expansion into Central and Eastern Europe makes it a natural partner for Fairmont as the brand expands its portfolio of hotels and resorts globally.

Qatar Airways currently services a number of worldwide destinations that Fairmont calls home including Fairmont Dubai; Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi; Fairmont Nile City, Cairo; Fairmont Peace Hotel, Shanghai; Fairmont Singapore; Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, Montreal; Fairmont Washington, D.C.; and The Plaza, A Fairmont Managed Hotel in New York.

With an eye on worldwide growth, Fairmont is working on a number of exciting developments, as well, including many in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and South-East Asia. Upcoming properties include Fairmont Jaipur, a 198-room hotel located in Rajasthan in northwest India, and the 299-room Fairmont Baku overlooking the Caspian Sea in Azerbaijan, both of which will open in 2012.

Qatar Airways becomes the latest addition to Fairmont’s collection of airline partners, a group that includes other top carriers such as American Airlines, United Airlines, Air Canada, Lufthansa, Etihad Airways, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Air China, Singapore Airlines, and Alaska Airlines.
