Hotelbeds Latin America and Caribbean plans to grow its hotel portfolio by a further 30% by 2015.
MEXICO – Hotelbeds, leading global accommodation wholesaler, celebrates a decade of continuous growth in Latin America and the Caribbean, where in just a decade it has achieved a portfolio of over 4500 hotels across the destinations and plans to grow its hotel portfolio by a further 30% by 2015. To mark its 10th anniversary, the company hosted an event in Hard Rock Cafe Cancun, Mexico which brought together more than 500 suppliers from across the region.
At the event, Javier Arevalo, Regional Managing Director, Hotelbeds, The Americas, thanked all of the attendees for their support and mutual achievements throughout the year and toasted for an even better forthcoming year followed by an astonishing fireworks show.
During the opening speeches, Javier stressed the importance of Latin America and the Caribbean for Hotelbeds and mentioned the impressive growth rates achieved over the last decade. Christian Kremers, Regional Director of Hotelbeds in Latin America and the Caribbean spoke of Hotelbeds growing presence in the region with key expansion plans in the source markets and destinations of Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Colombia.
The event also served as an introduction to the new Destination Services brand which supplies incoming services for tour operators and independent travellers including airport rep services, car rentals, transfers, excursions and event tickets. The launch is part of a worldwide brand roll out to 130 expert destination offices worldwide.

We are now investing for future growth by increasing our hotel inventory by 30% to 2015, expanding in the source markets and destinations as well as building our portfolio of products”.
