Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa named a Green Key Resort

Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa, the newest beachfront property on Florida’s West Coast, has much to celebrate as it approaches its one-year anniversary this February. The 250-all-suite resort recently secured the distinction of holding AAA’s prestigious four diamond status and can now add one more accolade to its list: three green keys from the internationally respected Green Key Eco-rating Program. A remarkable achievement for a resort in its first year, this title was awarded to Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa for its accomplishments in environmental management and corporate social responsibility.

The Green Key Eco-rating Program designates three green keys to hotels that have made significant advances towards protecting the environment. These properties offer programs that identity the impact and implementation of best management practices, training courses and engineering solutions that benefit both the environment as well as the local community.

“We are honored to have achieved this elite standing, particularly during our first year,” said Brian Kramer, general manager of the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa. “Our eco-coastal Sandava Spa, which focuses on ecologically-friendly practices and treatments using fresh fruit and natural products, is just one way in which we demonstrate our commitment to preserving the local environment. We are dedicated to protecting this beautiful destination for future generations of travelers to come.”

As the centerpiece of the destination’s new Beach Walk – a $30 million revitalization project along a half-mile active pathway of world-class shopping, dining and entertainment – the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa offers a convenient, central location within walking distance of Pier 60 and the Clearwater Marina as well as an abundance of on-site activities. Accommodations consist of deluxe, one- and two-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens featuring granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, which give guests the flexibility to prepare their own meals in a spacious atmosphere. All suites feature private balconies and views of the Gulf of Mexico.

The resort’s luxurious eighth-floor pool deck offers panoramic Gulf views and spectacular sunsets. Guests can enjoy the ultimate in comfort and luxury by reserving one of 20 climate-controlled, private cabanas that surround the deck or hit Clearwater’s pristine, white-sand beach for some fun-in-the-sun action. For a day of pampering and relaxation, the Sandava Spa offers a full spectrum of treatments reflective of Clearwater Beach and its natural surroundings.
