iBAHN among first to be certified in Marriott's industry-leading 2013 Global Property Network Standards

Sage Hospitality's prestigious JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek hosts successful pilot program.

DENVER – iBAHN, the global leader in IP-based entertainment and information services for the hospitality, meeting, conference and retail industries, has achieved Marriott International, Inc.’s 2013 Global Property Network Standards (GPNS) Certification for WiFi and Property Management Systems for full-service properties.

The Marriott GPNS program creates a consistent, industry-leading property Internet offering of the highest quality across Marriott brands. iBAHN is proud to be among the first Internet service providers to achieve the 2013 certification and will continue to advance through the additional steps of the rigorous certification program.

In order to achieve the certification, iBAHN successfully installed and configured the network infrastructure that complies with the 2013 version of GPNS WiFi specifications at the selected pilot property in Denver, Colorado: JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek, a premier property managed by Sage Hospitality, one of the top hotel management companies in the U.S. After installation, iBAHN completed Acceptance Testing. As the final step in certification, representatives of Marriott’s IR Telecom organization confirmed completion of the Acceptance Checklist at the pilot property.

“iBAHN is a long-time partner to Sage, and we rely on them to provide industry-leading service for our guests when it comes to connectivity for their laptops, mobile devices, and tablets. We are especially pleased that they successfully achieved these milestones within Marriott’s GPNS 2013 certification at one of our premier properties, the JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek,” said Matt Seim, Senior Vice President of IT at Sage Hospitality. “The certification gives us confidence that we can continue to rely on iBAHN to provide the best possible Internet experience for our guests.”

“iBAHN is honored to have achieved 2013 certification on the exacting requirements for Marriott’s 2013 standards,” said Roger Crellin, iBAHN president of the Americas. “Marriott International, Inc. has developed a world-class set of specifications to ensure a consistent technology experience across their brand portfolio, and we are especially grateful to Sage Hospitality and pleased to partner with them to provide the best possible entertainment and information services for their guests.”
