Opened in 1963 and thoroughly renovated in 2007, the Club will host an interactive 50-day anniversary party involving all generations of members.
MAGGIE VALLEY, N.C. – Maggie Valley Club & Resort, a year-around destination for golf and relaxation in North Carolina, is commemorating its golden anniversary with an engaging 50-day celebration that will include several special events at the Club and giveaways.
During the 50 days of celebration leading up to August 23rd, the Anniversary day, members and guests will be able to share their stories and photos from their favorite moments at the Club on maggievalleyclub.com/50yearsphotocontest. The submitted memories will enter the 50th Anniversary Celebration Giveaway, for a chance to win up to $5,000 in prizes, with the Grand Prize being a 7-day package for two at Maggie Valley Club & Resort. Shared photos and memories will also find their place on the Memory Wall set up at the Clubhouse. Golfers playing at least one time in the 50 celebrative days will also be entered in the Giveaway.
“We are lucky to live in a place where the natural beauty is highlighted not only by the Great Smoky Mountains but also by the Southern Hospitality,” said Jay Manner, General Manager of Maggie Valley Club & Resort. “The 50th Anniversary events are our way of showing appreciation to generations of families and friends who have always loved our splendid location.”
The celebration will culminate in the week of August 18-23. Fun summer activities for the whole family, such as golf clinics, club tours, pool parties and more will take place around the entire resort. To recreate the vintage atmosphere of the magical Sixties, the Club’s Pin High Bar & Grille will be serving 1960s-inspired food and beverage specials on the resort’s anniversary, August 23rd.
On Thursday, August 22nd the club will be hosting a 50th Anniversary Golf Tournament where golfers of all skill levels may enjoy 18-holes of golf in this fun and competitive 4 man-team golf scramble.
