Southern Shores Realty makes all check-ins "EZ" for 2016 OBX Vacations.
OUTER BANKS, N.C. – Southern Shores Realty announced that all of its Outer Banks vacation rental homes in their property management program now feature “EZ Check-in” systems for guests to enjoy.
“Keyless entry systems that were once a luxury of the past have now become the norm and desired by most visitors to the Outer Banks,” states David Watson, General Manager and Broker in Charge at Southern Shores Realty. “With travel and traffic times playing a larger role in our guests’ vacations, “EZ Check-in” systems create one less stop before you arrive at your destination.”
Besides the benefits to guests, there are also security benefits to vacation homeowners. Having an electronic lock with uniquely generated codes provides the owner and Southern Shores Realty with the ability to know who is coming in and out of a house at any given time, and also set permissions for service vendors.
A very small number of homes had to be creatively outfitted to meet the “EZ Check-in” requirements. “Although over half of our inventory already had keyless locks installed, that left us with almost 300 homes to outfit for 2016 travelers… and a small number of these homes utilized sliding doors, etc. where an electronic deadbolt would not work. This required other convenient solutions for guests to use, such as combination lock boxes,” says Christine Wissman, Operations Manager.
Southern Shores Realty is very excited about the benefits these systems offer, as well as the fact that when searching for homes, guests can rest assured that every house offers the convenience of not having to stop at the rental office before starting vacation.
