Alex Kassatly, General Manager, Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jen Christian Bungardt as Director, Food & Beverage, Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac.
Jens brings more than 16 years of hotel experience to this position. Jens` career began in 1989 in Switzerland where he held progressive positions including Chef, Waiter and Night Auditor at the Hotel Waldhaus, the Restaurant Girardet and the Grand Hotel Victoria Jungfrau. In 1992 Jens joined the Hilton Hotel Zurich as Chief Steward, where he was subsequently promoted to Assistant Banquet Manager in 1993, Assistant Food & Beverage Manager and Food & Beverage Manager in 1994. In 1996 Jens transferred to the Hotel Hilton Montreal Bonaventure as Food & Beverage Manager, and in 1999 he co-founded Apollo Communications et Evenements Inc., where he was also the Managing Director from 1999 to 2001. Jens returned to the hotel industry in 2002 as Catering Manager, Hotel InterContinental Montreal, and in 2004 he joined Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac in his most recent role as Director, Conference Services & Catering. Jens holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from Schweizerische Hotelfachschule Luzern in Lucerne, Switzerland.
