Radisson Blu SkyCity Hotel and Arlanda Airport Conference expands meetings space

Three of the new meeting rooms can accommodate up to 80 people sitting theatre-style. In addition to this, two of the rooms can be merged into one larger room covering 251 square feet, which can accommodate up to 80 people (theatre or ballroom style).

Busy business travellers passing through Stockholm Arlanda Airport now have even more places to hold meetings or brainstorming sessions thanks to investment by the Arlanda Airport hotel.

There will now be a total of 36 flexible function rooms which are kitted out with the latest technology to help travellers stay connected at all times.

This conference venue near Stockholm is a joint venture between Arlanda Airport Conference and the Radisson Blu SkyCity Hotel. It can be found at SkyCity, between terminals four and five.

Three of the new meeting rooms can accommodate up to 80 people sitting theatre-style. In addition to this, two of the rooms can be merged into one larger room covering 251 square feet, which can accommodate up to 80 people (theatre or ballroom style).

The fourth room is being promoted as a “Brain Box Break Out Room” in recognition of the changing working patterns of business travellers who need space to think creatively and work remotely in a less formal environment.

Containing comfortable armchairs and soft pillows with a bright colour scheme, it has been designed to inspire business travellers and allow groups in brainstorming sessions to get more out of their sessions there. They can even write on the walls, should inspiration hit.

Maria Tullberg, the General Manager at Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Conference explained the reason for their latest investment:

“During autumn 2012, Arlanda Airport Conference merged together with the Radisson Blu SkyCity hotel operations. Together, we’re now in the position to offer accommodation and conference facilities directly at Arlanda airport.”

And acknowledging the role that good nutrition plays in productivity and creatively, business travellers will also be able to refuel by choosing from the Radisson Blu’s Brain Food menu nearby. A team of nutritionists and chefs created the menu after consulting medical research on the link between nutrition, concentration levels, stress levels and reaction times.

Together with the new meeting spaces, it is hoped that business travellers to Stockholm Arlanda Airport will be able to enjoy optimum working conditions.
