Skyline expands into South Africa; Opens Johannesburg office

The choice of Johannesburg is a logical one as South Africa is still widely regarded as the continent’s powerhouse, and the location provides a firm basis for further expansion in the region.

Leading serviced apartment provider Skyline Serviced Apartments has taken another step towards becoming the leading company in its field by opening a South African office. This latest development in Skyline’s corporate growth strategy is designed to take advantage of the opportunities arising as increasing numbers of companies move into the African arena.

The choice of Johannesburg is a logical one as South Africa is still widely regarded as the continent’s powerhouse, and the location provides a firm basis for further expansion in the region.

Manager of the new office, Brett Eloff says, “We are extremely excited to open Skyline Africa. We feel there is fantastic growth potential in Africa and look forward to servicing current and future Skyline clients throughout the continent.”

The location of the company’s new office is the 4th Floor, The Firs, Cradock Avenue, in the Rosebank suburb, which is in close proximity to the financial district and corporate hub of Johannesburg. Skyline Serviced Apartments currently have the capacity to book serviced apartments in 7 key cities across Africa, with site inspections to be completed in 6 of these cities by the end of 2015. Meanwhile, the company’s supply chain team will focus on initiating relationships with new partners across 10 new markets in the region by the end of Q4, with further site visits and expansion into new markets planned for Q1, 2016.

In her recent announcement regarding the opening, Skyline’s Chief Commercial Officer, Samantha Thorne, said, “We recognised and have addressed the ever increasing demand for challenging locations such as Lagos and Nairobi. In view of this and through our local presence and personalised insights, Skyline’s business strategy is to have visited, vetted and established relationships in a number of key cities in Africa by the end of the year, with ambitious plans to develop further into this rapidly growing region throughout 2016.”

The Johannesburg opening brings Skyline’s global footprint to five offices, and complements its existing presence in London, Madrid, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. With over 105,000 serviced apartments spread throughout 76 countries in over 294 cities, Skyline is rapidly becoming the foremost serviced apartment provider worldwide.
