The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch accepted into ALHI

The transformed resort reopened in September 2015, following a comprehensive $10 million renovation.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch, A Destination Hotel has been accepted as the newest Member of Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI). The transformed Scottsdale, Arizona resort reopened in September 2015 upon the completion of an extensive $10 million renovation. Previously known as the Scottsdale Resort & Conference Center, the independent resort is now represented by ALHI to the North American M.I.C.E. (meetings, incentives, conferences/conventions, and exhibitions) marketplace. The announcement was made by Jim Schultenover, president of ALHI.

Ideally situated between the pristine Sonoran Desert and the vibrant restaurant, shopping, gallery and club scene of Scottsdale, The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch is a AAA Four-Diamond resort that features 326 spacious guest rooms and suites, each with the elegant decor and residential ambiance of private haciendas. Most of the guest rooms and suites were just enhanced, and many offer spectacular views of the fairways, gardens and pool. With more than 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, the resort features 50 meeting rooms accommodating groups of 10 to 1,200. Event spaces provide stunning views of the majestic McDowell Mountains, and clear views of the iconic Camelback Mountain.

As part of the $10 million renovation, The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch significantly expanded and upgraded its outdoor meeting and event space, enhanced its guest rooms, opened two new restaurants (including the premier Kitchen West Restaurant), opened the new Bar Six40, and renovated its lobby. The comprehensive project also included the complete remodeling and expansion of its main pool area, a dramatically enhanced entrance, new outdoor fire pits, more lush landscaping, and a more open and welcoming feel throughout the sophisticated resort. Additional resort offerings include the pampering Luna Spa, and the nearby McCormick Ranch Golf Course. The resort, which features beautiful Spanish architecture, is very accessible and just 15 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch joins as ALHI’s sixth Member hotel in Arizona. In Scottsdale it joins the AAA Five-Diamond Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, offering 206,000 square feet of meeting space, and expanding to 750 guest rooms and suites in Spring 2016. ALHI’s distinguished Arizona portfolio also features:  the 164-acre Arizona Grand Resort & Spa, featuring 644 suites and 120,000 square feet of versatile indoor and outdoor function space in Phoenix; the luxurious 398-room Loews Ventana Canyon, situated in the beautiful Sonoran Desert in Tucson, with a backdrop of the majestic Santa Catalina Mountains; Phoenix’s elegant and secluded Royal Palms Resort and Spa, providing 119 lavishly appointed guest rooms and more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space; and the popular, AAA Four-Diamond The Wigwam, set on 440 lushly landscaped acres, with 331 oversized guest rooms and 100,000 square feet of meeting space in Litchfield Park.
