Virginia Crowne Plaza rebrands as Richmond Magnuson Grand Hotel

Formerly franchised by InterContinental Hotel Group as the Crowne Plaza Richmond, the hotel will upgrade its local, regional and national market to attract business, group and leisure travelers.

SPOKANE WA/LONDON UK – Magnuson Hotels announced the complete rebranding of the Richmond Magnuson Grand Hotel and Convention Center.

Formerly franchised by InterContinental Hotel Group as the Crowne Plaza Richmond, the hotel will upgrade its local, regional and national market to attract business, group and leisure travelers via an affiliation with Magnuson Hotels’ global portfolio of nearly 2,000 hotels.

Corporate, educational, government and leisure travelers will appreciate this 100% non-smoking facility located just eight miles northwest of downtown Richmond, and less than four miles from the University of Richmond, Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, Phillip-Morris Altria, Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens and the Belmont Golf Course.

Guests of the Richmond Magnuson Grand Hotel and Convention Center can enjoy an indoor pool, jacuzzi, on-site fitness room and dining at the hotel’s Sapphire Grill and Lounge, which features traditional American cuisine and a full bar. Guest rooms include free wireless internet, coffeemaker, hair dryer, free local calls, alarm clock/radio and iron with board.

“We are proud to welcome Anil Patel and his entire staff, and are fully committed to increasing their property visibility and reservations,” stated Thomas Magnuson, CEO of Magnuson Worldwide.

As a Magnuson Hotels affiliate, the Richmond Magnuson Grand Hotel and Convention Center is a member of the Magnuson Hotels Premier Collection, an elite portfolio of the highest quality hotels and locations represented by Magnuson Worldwide.

The Richmond Magnuson Grand Hotel and Convention Center will receive complete global brand representation without the costs and requirements of franchise brand affiliation. It will expand its business through Magnuson Hotels’ massive hotel reservation network including 650,000 GDS travel agents, all global corporate accounts, over 2,000 internet booking channels such as Global Hotel Exchange, Expedia, Hotels.com, Priceline, and all major airlines websites.
