The Recipe for Change Campaign, an innovative sustainability program developed by Levy, is aimed at transforming the food and beverage offerings within the meetings and events sector.
Levy UK + Ireland (Levy) has renewed its long-term support of The International Congress and Convention Association’s (ICCA) UK & Ireland Chapter. This partnership continues Levy’s dedication to fostering the growth and success of the meetings industry, through which it will highlight its ongoing commitment to sustainable practices.
Building upon their shared values, Levy’s collaboration with the ICCA UK & Ireland Chapter will deliver increased value for the Chapter’s membership, through education and collaborative working, with a particular focus on two of Levy’s key initiatives: its Recipe for Change Campaign and the organisation’s ambitious net-zero carbon targets.
“In line with the ICCA UK & Ireland Chapter’s strong commitment to sustainability, this partnership will further empower our efforts to integrate environmentally responsible practices into our events and those of our members,” comments ICCA UK & Ireland Chapter chair, Suzanne Singleton. “Through education and by encouraging our member organisations to continually develop their sustainable strategies, this partnership will drive positive change and inspire all to embrace a better future.”
Kevin Watson, Business Director & Net Zero Lead at Levy UK + Ireland adds: “We’re delighted to continue to support ICCA UK & Ireland and share best practice on our Climate Commitment. We have been leading the way, making positive changes to the impact we have on the environment, and are lucky to partner with clients who share our ambitious sustainability goals and targets. The challenge to keep pace with the continually changing environmental landscape is what drives us to find solutions and be the best we can be.”
The Recipe for Change Campaign, an innovative sustainability program developed by Levy, is aimed at transforming the food and beverage offerings within the meetings and events sector. Through strong supplier partnerships, Levy delivers sustainable catering experiences that are both ethically sourced and environmentally friendly. Through this campaign, Levy has already achieved significant milestones, including the reduction of food waste, the promotion of plant-based options, and the implementation of energy-efficient practices.
Levy has committed to net-zero carbon emissions by 2027, the progress, learnings and challenges of which it will continue to share with the wider industry, particularly through its conference & events channel brand, Lime Venue Portfolio & ICCA UK & Ireland Chapter events, allowing others to follow in their footsteps.
Suzanne concludes: “Addressing the many challenges, including environmental, that we face requires organisations to come together, share knowledge, and collaborate on innovative solutions. We are proud to have Levy UK + Ireland’s continuing support and look forward to working closely with them moving forward.”
